Hello Monday, blek!
Spring is creeping up pretty quickly, at least it is here in Texas.
Usually by march it's hot and I can break out my sandals.
So I decided I'm going to wear all of the fall and winter styles and prints that I love until I can't anymore! That way I don't miss them as much when I retire them for the season.

Also, I know I've been wearing these booties out.. but they match with everything, they make me taller, and they're so comfortable to wear. It's impossible for me to resist them! I know you guys hate me because they're sold out but I will link a couple similar taupe booties!

Hello Monday, blek!

We decided on a 3 night stay. We left Thursday and drove back Sunday.
The drive is about 10 hours, but if you stop a lot like we did.. it's closer to 12!
We considered flying, but there weren't any direct flights and the flights available would've been 8 hours long! No way Jose! Plus, we wanted to stop in little towns along the way.
Lets get into our trip, I'll caption the pictures along the way.

I don't know about y'all, but sometimes my significant other is hard to shop for. I can shop for his clothes all day long, and I know him like the back of my hand. However, when you've been together as long as we have, you start running out of "knock your socks off" gifts.
But if there is one thing I know TC likes, it's traveling.
So for his birthday I decided to plan a trip to Santa Fe.

Happy Monday!

Happy Monday!

I need color in my life, and this vest.. oh this vest.. it is the perfect pop of color.
I like that this color is a good transition color. It works for the winter, but It would also work for the spring. I could see me pairing this with a teeshirt dress in the spring. Texas winters are so grey.

I need color in my life, and this vest.. oh this vest.. it is the perfect pop of color.
I like that this color is a good transition color. It works for the winter, but It would also work for the spring. I could see me pairing this with a teeshirt dress in the spring. This dress can also be paired with a grey pea-coat or a cute leather jacket. Again, the pea coat makes it more girly, the leather would make it more masculine and edgy. I just love versatile pieces, and this flannel has been my go to lately.

Oh it's a Monday!
I dropped my mascara twice between the seat in my car. Have any of you ever done that? It's the worst. I basically had to get out of my car at the coffee shop and dig under my seat to retrieve it!
Anyway!
It's no secret plaid is back, and I'm obsessed. It's so versatile, you can make it masculine by pairing it with leather or make it more feminine by adding girly accessories. For this look I wanted to mix masculine and feminine, so I made it girly with my boot socks and masculine by wearing less accessories. This dress can also be paired with a grey pea-coat or a cute leather jacket. Again, the pea coat makes it more girly, the leather would make it more masculine and edgy. I just love versatile pieces, and this flannel has been my go to lately.

Anyway,
Sometimes.. just sometimes... I like to dress a little edgy.
When I decide to dress a little tougher, I try to also add in girly pieces to soften the look.

Is it really Monday? Where did the weekend go?
Anyway, It's cold here in here in ol' Tejas. It's
28 degrees right now... Uh, what? Texans can't get down with all that. I wanted to wear this dress the other day and I had to figure out how to accommodate for the weather. So I paired it with some heavy leggings, a blanket scarf, and a pea coat. Let me tell you, I was as warm as a bug in a rug. I hope this inspires anyone trying to transition their fall dresses into the winter. OH! and this dress is still available at Target.
